The makers of Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni, have officially postponed the film’s release once again. Producer and veteran actor Nagarjuna took to social media today to announce the update and reveal the film’s new release date.
Sharing the reason behind the delay, Nagarjuna stated that the Lenin team requested additional time to ensure they deliver their best work. He revealed that the makers are determined to give the audience a truly special cinematic experience.
Why Was Lenin Postponed?
“The team of Lenin came to me with a request. They asked for a little more time to give their absolute 100% and create something very special. Their passion and spirit made me say yes,” Nagarjuna shared in his social media post.
The postponement marks the latest in a series of delays for Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming film. Lenin was originally scheduled for May 1, then moved to June 26 to avoid a clash with Ram Charan’s Peddi. The film’s June 26 release date was re-confirmed in April, making this latest postponement unexpected.
Lenin’s New Release Date
Along with announcing the postponement, Nagarjuna confirmed that Lenin will now hit theatres on July 10, 2026. Expressing immense confidence in his son’s performance, Nagarjuna assured fans that they would witness a completely new side of the actor on screen.
“Manodu July 10 vastunnadu. I say again, you will see a new Akhil!! Get ready for the Lenin experience,” he added.
About the Film
Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin features Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead. The film is produced by Nagarjuna and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Manam Enterprises LLP and Sithara Entertainments, and presented by Annapurna Studios.
